Chewy Honey Gingerbread Cookies - No Molasses!
We officially in the holiday spirit! These sweet and spicy gingerbread cookies are sure to get you in the mood. Plus, we heard they are St. Nick’s favorite!
This recipe swaps out that nasty molasses for the good stuff- thick, natural Tabernash Honey! We promise they are just as chewy and twice as delicious.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
7 tablespoons room temperature butter
2 1/2 tablespoons Tabernash Honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1. Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.
2. Cream together granulated sugar, brown sugar and butter until mixed.
3. Add honey, vanilla and egg to creamed sugar mixture.
4. Add half flour mixuture and combine. Add the rest of flour mixture. Do not overmix!
5. Wrap dough in nonstick parchment or wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
7. Roll cookies into 1 inch balls and place on greased baking sheet.
8. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes.
